Local police are set to hold a two day operation that will help prevent crime and raise community awareness. Operation Impact will involve police officers and members of the Community Safety Partnership. They will work in the Tillington and Holmcroft areas of Stafford.

The activities will include home fire safety checks, street cleaning, gardening and bike marking. Dog wardens will also be on patrol giving you the chance to meet and talk to various professionals from the police and its related trades.

Inspector Rob Pilling, commander of Stafford Neighbourhood Policing Unit, said "We aim to use this event to build on the already positive activities taking place in this area and we are encouraging everyone to come along to the event and support their local area."

Peggy Sparrow, vice-chairman of Holmcroft and Tillington Tenants and Residents' Association, said "Operation Impact will be a fantastic way of emphasising the community spirit in the area. I hope all the residents will be able to come along and enjoy it."
