Shareshill

Shareshill is a small, stunningly beautiful village situated six miles from Wolverhampton. The land surrounding the village of Shareshill is dramatic and features many valleys and rolling hills, and the village itself is mentioned many times in literature and historical records. It is understood that the village can trace its routes back to Roman times and it remains relatively untouched by industrialisation thanks in part to the largely agricultural nature of the local economy.

The Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal runs through the north-west corner of the village and several historic timberframed buildings are still standing in Shareshill. To the north-east of the village there are the remains of a mediaeval moated site and to the west of Sharehill there still remains a homestead moat. Many of the architecture of the area dates from the 16th century and onwards and is maintained in excellent condition by residents.
