Staffordshire Theme Parks and Attractions

Staffordshire’s theme parks and attractions are some of the most famous in Britain and even Europe and a draw to thousands of visitors every year.
The largest family-owned theme park, Drayton Manor, Staffordshire has over 100 attractions set in 286 acres and features an award-winning zoo. Its signature rides include Shockwave - Europe’s only stand-up rollercoaster, Stormforce10 - Europe’s fastest wet knuckle ride, Maelstrom, Europe’s only gyro swing, and the awesome Apocalypse, the world’s first stand up tower drop!
Perhaps the best known of all England's theme parks is Staffordshire’s most famous attraction, Alton Towers, which is home to two of England’s legendary ‘white-knuckle’ rollercoaster rides. Oblivion, the world-famous vertical drop rollercoaster; and Nemesis, an inverted rollercoaster, takes your breath away as it turns everything upside down. The newly opened Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a fantastical, multi-sensory indoor ride which takes families on an unforgettable adventure into the heart of the wondrous world of Willy Wonka and his great Chocolate Factory. Also new is Sharkbait Reef by Sea Life, an underwater world with a myriad of creatures to discover, plus a new land of surprises - Cloud Cuckoo Land.
If it’s a water attraction you are looking for in Staffordshire then soak up some theme park fun at the Alton Tower’s Caribbean themed water park, where you can be blasted up and away by the fantastic Masterblaster wet rollercoaster or explore the Wacky Waterworks and Treehouse before relaxing in the Lazy River. Or  try the UK's number one indoor aqua theme park attraction. It has over 30 rides and attractions (including the mighty "Nucleus" indoor water roller-coaster ride), outdoor pool, aqua disco, and cafe.
The SnowDome in Tamworth is Staffordshire’s ultimate snow, ice and leisure theme park attraction. Whether it's a fun packed day on the snow, a family outing on the ice or a dip in the swimming pool, the SnowDome provides something for all.
One of Staffordshire’s most famous and unusual attractions that has proved popular with all ages is the Go Ape! Highwire Forest Adventure in Cannock Forest. Here you can literally take to the trees and experience an exhilarating course of rope bridges, tarzan swings and zip slides...all set high above the forest floor.
