The Tamworth Herald reports that a 29 year old woman who donated a kidney to save her fathers life has come through the operation and it has been declared a complete success. Beth Jones is a sales manager from Wilnecote and she had one of the kidneys removed via keyhole surgery and transplanted into her father. The operations were carried out at the Royal Liverpool Hospital, and Beth told the Herald "It was scary and emotional, but it was all thoroughly worth it. Dad's
new kidney is working brilliantly and I am well on the way to full
recovery. All in all, everything is great!" |
